A nominee can submit more than one application in any one calendar year. * Please note; Annual limits apply
Financial assistance may be approved for part payment of levy payments, compulsory uniform payments, compulsory equipment directly related to the sport and other related costs that are incurred, to assist the nominee to participate in a QSS school sport event.
NB. Further funding assistance is considered on the basis of supporting ‘Sporting Pathways’. Each subsequent application is considered on a case by case basis and is at the sole discretion of Aspirations4Kids in Sport Ltd.
Hardship – Financial
This funding assists families who are facing current financial distress. Please note: Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis. Evidence of the current financial hardship must support unique and extenuating circumstances at the time of the application. A strong testimonial is required to support all applications based on current circumstances.
Please note, funding assistance consideration is given to applicants experiencing current hardship – funding assistance is not considered based on upcoming costs to go to an event.
Financial assistance may be approved for part payment for levy payments, compulsory uniform payments, travel and accommodation that may assist the nominee to participate in a school sport.
To qualify for Hardship (Financial) the family / carer of the nominee must have an Australian Low Income Health Care Card or Foster Child Health Care Card that is current at the application date. A copy of the card must be sighted by the Principal and scanned through to email@example.com within a reasonable time frame of the application being submitted.

Hardship – Remote
This funding assists students who are suffering from financial hardship and remoteness of their place of residence and require funding to play their chosen sport. This may include travel to the place of compulsory practice or travel to a school sport event.
To qualify for consideration for Hardship (Remote) the nominee’s place of residence must be considered as being a remote location and they must be suffering from financial hardship due to the remoteness of their place of residence.
Please note: Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis. Evidence of both financial and remoteness hardship that support unique and extenuating circumstances will determine the decision of a successful application. A strong testimonial is required to support all applications under this cause.
To qualify for Hardship (Remote) the nominee’s place of residence must be in either Zone A (special area) or B (special area) as per the link below.
Disability or Chronic Illness
This funding assists students who have a recognised and / or diagnosed disability or chronic illness.
Assistance may be offered in the form of financial support to fund the provision of prosthetics / special equipment, counselling and support people to assist the nominee to participate in a school sport event
Please note: Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis. Information given must support unique circumstances and may determine the decision of a successful application. A strong testimonial is required to support all applications under this cause.
This funding is intended to assist students who do not qualify for Hardship funding but due to exceptional reasons require financial assistance for a ‘short term’ issue.
Examples may include but not be limited to temporary loss of employment, health issues facing the family, short term but highly impactful family issues etc. that may affect the nominees opportunity to play sport.
Please note: Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis. Information given must support unique and extenuating circumstances and may determine the decision of a successful application. A very strong testimonial is required to support all applications under this cause.
The nominee may be required to undertake a telephone interview prior to final assessment of assistance.
This Scholarship funding recognises students who are facing hardship through unique challenges and who also demonstrate exceptional initiative, teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play through participation in a sport or a variety of sports and who displays potential to achieve at their personal best level.
The successful nominee must demonstrate a very high standard of behaviour, attendance at school and an ongoing commitment to regular training and participation in sport.
An Aspirations4Kids in Sport Scholarship is designed to assist a nominee, who through their sporting journey, can strongly demonstrate that their life pathway is better due to their participation through sport.
An extremely strong written testimonial from the School must be provided that addresses all of the above as well as:
- How the nominee assists themselves (where appropriate).
- Dedication to their sporting journey.
- How the nominee overcomes any barriers to participation.
- How the nominee has overcome adversity when facing circumstances that are highly impactful on the nominee’s ability to play sport.
- Examples may include but not be limited to issues such as;
- recognised disability
- chronic or serious illness
- substantial / long term financial loss
Completion of an application does not guarantee that any scholarship will be offered by A4K.
Please note; Scholarships are limited and subject to a rigorous selection process and are determined at the sole discretion of Aspirations4Kids in Sport Ltd.
Further information to note:
The successful nominee or their guardian will need to sign the Terms and Conditions as set out by Aspirations4Kids In Sport Ltd as set out below;
- Demonstrate an ongoing to commitment to their sport
- Compete in a minimum of 2 regional events per year
- Provide quarterly reports on progress and results = 4 per year
- Give A4K in Sport the rights to story and photos for a period of scholarship and a further 24 months from start date of scholarship
- Provide a written testimonial from their school that addresses all of the above as well as how this nominee overcomes any barriers to participation and how they assist themselves (where appropriate)
- Agree to represent Aspirations4Kids in Sport at an event and / or events where appropriate.
*nominee may be offered services in lieu of cash including but not limited to a personalised dietary support programme, strength and conditioning coaching, mentoring and psychological support. This is at the discretion of and in consultation with A4K and the nominee.
